The work in 'Universe' takes a sideways look at the sublime. It marks time not by coffee spoons, and space not through time.
The artists in 'Universe' explore our culture's empirical attempts to represent both micro- and macrocosms. Some of the work posits a playful approach to representing these polar infinities such as gaming or just plain 'giving-up'. Other work pays homage to science's achievements or employs personal scale and 'time spent' as metaphors for the bigger picture
so to speak; all seek to put representation through it's paces by pitting it against an infinity.
The gallery is open Saturday & Sunday 12 - 6pm or by appointment.
