Information sheet

Songs sung by men from the point of view of a woman is an exhibition of work by Fabienne Audéoud, Gareth Jones, Emma Kay, Jochen Klein, Jutta Koether and Silke Otto-Knapp. It has been organised by two of the participating artists, Gareth Jones and Silke Otto-Knapp. They asked themselves:

Why do we identify with something else? Whose voice can I hear? Are the words borrowed from another place? Do they confuse me? Where do you put the unfamiliar? How do I explain desire? Can this be translated into another form? What is my relationship to this thing that I have made? Should that be communicated? What do I do next?

Private view: Friday 1st September 7.00-9.00 pm

Exhibition dates: 02.09.00-24.09.00
