Vis-á-Vis Goshka Macuga Simon Moretti Jemima Stehli & John Hilliard Elizabeth Wright 31.10.03-07.12.03 Private View: 31 October 2003, 7.00-9.00 pm This exhibition brings together the work of four London based artists. Their practice encompasses re-enactment, appropriation, homage and collaboration. Through their work they engage in varied and exciting ways with the issue of authorship. Each work in Vis-á-Vis takes the work of another artist as it's starting point. 'In relation to' is the context in which these works exist. This 'facing one another' ellicits questions about artistic hierarchies and icons of modern art. Vis-á-Vis is Curated by Simon Moretti.
